A woman who suffered two miscarriages and came close to losing her third pregnancy has spoken out about how she wishes she had more investigations sooner.

Courtney Greener lost the first pregnancy of her son Ezra Binns in September 2021, to an amniotic fluid infection, and had an early-stage miscarriage the following year, which she has nicknamed ‘Jelly Bean’.

Figures released in a Freedom of Information request by NHS Digital show only 9 miscarriages being recorded where an amniotic fluid infection was present out of 54,040 cases in England.

The Miscarraige Association have called for more accurate recording of the incidents of miscarraiges from the NHS.
