Figures released recently by the Office of National Statistics (ONS) show that recorded domestic abuse cases rose in the year from 2021 to 2022, however, have since fallen back to pre-2021 levels as of this year.
The figures also reveal that prosecution rates have dropped by 22 per cent with convictions falling by 26 per cent.
